Bootstrapped Businesses Are More Relevant Than Ever

Don’t count bootstrapped businesses out.
According to Crunchbase (https://news.crunchbase.com/) this week, bootstrapped businesses may become increasingly relevant in the age of AI.
AI may be changing more than how companies build products. It may also change how they fund growth.
As AI lowers the cost of building and deploying new products, what once required a larger engineering team and significant outside capital can increasingly be accomplished by smaller teams that build a working product and put it in front of real customers.
For founders, that can mean generating revenue earlier and being more deliberate about when, or whether, to raise outside capital.
Doing more with less capital also places a greater premium on a strong financial foundation.
Accurate and reliable accounting data, combined with forward-looking CFO insights, gives founders the visibility to understand cash flow and profitability, allocate capital wisely, and make better decisions about how to grow.
Whether a company is bootstrapped or venture-backed, strong financial fundamentals and financial visibility matter.
AI may be changing the economics of building a company, but the fundamentals of building a financially sound business haven't changed.
